The first edition witnessed a slow start in 1975 featuring around 40 exhibitors. At that point in time, the world never expected this to expand into one of the largest global event. Over the years, the show kept growing in terms of exhibitors, equipment’s, wellness, and other health care facilities and services.
In 2014, the event set a record of having 3,627 exhibitors and 58,000 visitors participate in the event.
While in its 50th-anniversary edition in 2025, there were 4042 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors, reflecting its continued growth and global relevance.
Attendees and exhibitors come from around 193 countries, demonstrating a truly international footprint.
WHX Dubai is set for its upcoming season which is being held from 9-12 February 2026. For the first time in 5 decades, the event is not going to take place at its usual location- the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), but instead it is moving to a new venue- The Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), located at the EXPO City Dubai. The change of location is a clearly indicated that the event is set to grow in terms of size and ambition.
